COVID Safe Baby Showers and Birthdays

Thinking of ways to safely bring your friends and family together for a special event? Picnics are a great way to gather in a socially distanced manner without having to compromise on fun decor. In a time where so many people are stuck in their homes, what a great way to encourage people to get some fresh air and gather for a special event. These photos are from a recent baby shower in which the mother-to-be arranged a picnic day at a park in Irvine.

Each family had their own picnic blanket and an individually wrapped lunch and dessert which made eating and lounging much more enjoyable. Caterers are providing more of these boxed type meals in order to accommodate for gatherings. A trend that I love seeing are individual charcuterie cones that serve as an awesome alternative to a grazing board and look super cute!

While this host provided succulents to take home as favors, another great idea would be to have custom masks and hand sanitizers made to pass out at the beginning of the event. Just another way of making an event extra safe during uncertain times. Although it is getting harder to meet in person and nothing really compares to being with loved ones face to face, it doesn’t make any event less special by making adjustments, in fact, it makes it even more memorable!
